American-Palestinian Adolescent Liberated Following 270 Days in Israeli Custody

An American-Palestinian teenager having endured a nine-month period in imprisonment by Israel without charge has been freed.

The teenager Mohammed Ibrahim was 15 at the time of his arrest in February in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, where he was visiting on holiday from Florida under suspicion of rock throwing against settlement residents, claims he consistently denied.

The US state department expressed satisfaction with the teenager's freedom.

Now sixteen years old, required hospitalization upon gaining freedom, family members reported.

According to them, he appears pale, underweight, and experiencing medical problems contracted in captivity.

Via family representatives, Mohammed's uncle spoke of the family's "immense relief".

Zeyad Kadur stated the family experienced "living a horrific and endless nightmare" throughout the past nine months.

"At this moment, we are focused on ensuring Mohammed receives the immediate medical attention necessary for his recovery following exposure to harsh conditions and brutal treatment over several months."

The state department said it would continue to offer diplomatic assistance for the Ibrahim family.

{"US government authorities gives utmost importance than the safety and security for United States citizens"," it added.

Twenty-seven US lawmakers had signed a letter to US authorities and the White House, requesting additional efforts for his freedom.

Mohammed's parent, with four children operating an ice cream shop in Florida, had earlier stated Mohammed acknowledged allegations regarding stone throwing because the soldiers beat him.

The father hadn't visited or spoken to Mohammed since the arrest, learning information solely regarding the treatment through judicial records.

He stayed without charge within Ofer penitentiary throughout the occupied territory.

The facility also contains grown detainees, including individuals found guilty of serious terrorism offences and murder.

Approximately several hundred young Palestinian detainees being held in Israeli jails, based on prison authority data.

Many have never been charged while advocacy organizations, including UN bodies, say some have suffered mistreatment and torture.

After the teenager's freedom, family representatives announced the family would also continue fighting for justice for his cousin their cousin Sayfollah.

The 20-year-old dual US citizen per medical officials died from beating by settlement residents amid clashes in July.

Initially, the Israeli military said authorities were looking into accounts of a Palestinian was deceased.

Mohammed and Sayfollah had worked together at their family's ice cream business in Tampa, Florida.

No indictments occurred for the cousin's murder.

"We demand the American government to protect our families," Mr Kadur said.
