The loved ones of teens lost after a tragic fire at a venue in a Swiss winter destination are enduring an agonising period of uncertainty for official news and appealing for clues about their children online.

The inferno ripped through the Le Constellation bar in Cans-Montana, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of New Year's Day. Circulated video depict the roof structure igniting as beverages with fireworks are raised in celebration.

Authorities have warned that it could take considerable time to formally name the fatalities of the fire, which resulted in the death of numerous partygoers and injured another scores more. A spokesperson noted on the latest update that 113 of the those hurt have been accounted for, with the process still underway to identify the final individuals.

In the meantime, families and friends have been using online platforms to plead for information about their friends who were in attendance that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Missing

The whereabouts of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, sixteen, are not yet determined, according to an heartfelt request from his parent.

The resident of Lutry near Lausanne, told a local newspaper that she had gone back to Lausanne to see if he was in the hospital, while his father did the same in the capital, but was unsuccessful.

"I'm living a nightmare, an ordeal. Either I find my son in the morgue, or I find him in intensive care. It's horrific," she told the paper.

She continued that some of his friends had been discovered with injuries covering a significant portion of their bodies. "There are no words; they endured a terrifying ordeal."

The Italy's government has indicated that six of its nationals remain missing.

One of those is Emanuele Galeppini, a 16-year-old junior golfer, who hailed from Genoa but now residing in the UAE.

The national sporting body has released a tribute that he is dead, without mentioning the tragedy, paying tribute to a "talented young man who embodied passion and authentic values."

His father, is quoted as saying that his son was at the bar and was last in contact around the new year. An official spokesperson has indicated that a official announcement of his death is not yet.

Other Missing Individuals

Giovanni Tamburi, 16, is likewise unaccounted for. His parent explained that he had been on vacation but had ventured out with a group and ended up at the venue.

"A companion said they escaped after the fire started and that he had his mobile with him, but then at a certain point he lost sight of him," she said, adding he had been wearing a distinctive gold chain.

One of his teachers said, "He was known for his kindness and smile, combined with great maturity. Often offer to help out."

Alice Kallergis, who holds both Greek and Swiss nationality but lives permanently in the country, was also at the bar on New Year's Eve, according to reports.

Her brother has posted an appeal online, saying the relatives has had "no information" regarding the teenager or the three friends she was with, who are also unaccounted for.

Officials from her country of origin say they are closely watching the case.
